little k: the power of reading!

January 15, 2018

i was a bit of a bookworm, preferring to read rather than deal with people (nowadays i can barely finish a book for book club, ironically i prefer socializing to reading now).

i noticed that when i do read a good book, though, it really goes straight to my head and i sometimes start acting and even speaking like the characters in the book.

this tendency was way worse when i was little... did/does anyone else do this or am i a total weirdo?

cry it out! so far little k has mostly just been about rage, but anger’s twin sibling is definitely sadness and i am a proud lifelong crybaby. what makes you cry?

little k: horse girl comics

January 11, 2018

I was seriously horse obsessed. I literally would find any excuse to write about them in my 2nd grade journal almost every day.

comics and sequential art

in spring 2018, i created a lot of comics and sequential art. one series, little k, draws on recollections from my childhood. another, personal demons, explores mental health issues. two travelers, a series of illustrations, explores themes of connection and vulnerability.
